California Grill

Secret's out! For my Chris' birthday we ended up going to Disney's Contemporary Hotel and ate at the California Grill. California Grill is known for being on the 15th floor, overlooking Bay Lake and perfect for Magic Kindgom's nightly fireworks show, Wishes. During the fireworks, we went out to the observation deck, and were simply in awe. The fireworks are already amazing from the view within the park, but add 15 stories and you have a completely new point of view.

It looks much further away than we really were!

When it was time to order, we were all split between a few items, so we decided to order a few appetizers before our entrées. The appetizers we ordered were a cheese flatbread (SO good!), corn soup, a California sushi roll (they have the 3rd best sushi chef in the world), and fried zucchini.

Words cannot express how amazing my meal was. I ended up ordering pork tenderloin with sage and cheese polenta drizzled with balsamic glaze. If it was socially acceptable, I probably would have licked the plate clean. Holy yum!

Celebrating a birthday at Walt Disney World is always a "magical" experience. When wearing the birthday button, every single cast member you see wishes you a happy birthday. Yes, this is such a simple gesture, but it makes you feel so welcome and like everyone is there to celebrate your special day along side of you.
Happy Birthday, Chris!
